Our school has an event coming up called The Battle. We are planning to ask our principal to advertise our cause. With all of the people coming, they can bring jeans to help us. This will probably be our final event. After the presentation the blogs will be discontinued. But, for now we will be posting for a couple more weeks.

We plan on emailing Al Canal, the Manager of the Wildey. We are going to ask if we can either use his tickets or his advertising system to get the word out about or cause. We want to collect jeans and give some sort of compensation, like candy.
Sorry for not posting Week 5 and I will try to post more and more later on. Also, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I am going to make a New Year Resolution for this whole project. I would like to email Mr. Canal, the manager of the Wildey Theatre. We would like to, one night, collect jeans outside of the Wildey. It would benefit our project so much. We are going to try to advertise on their tickets or flyers. All we need to do is email him and hope for approval.
This week we couldn't find anytime to make his happen because of schedules. We also changed our plan. We were originally going to build boxes and collect clothes like that. Because of money and time constraints, we have changed to an event. My group and I want to collect jeans outside of some kind of event like a play. If someone brings in jeans, we want to give the person a free popcorn or soda or something like that. Also, as a different type of incentive, we could give out Tootsie Rolls and some other type of candy. -Chris
We have decided to change our drive to "Means for Jeans." This means that instead of collecting just random clothing in boxes, we will collect jeans. Jeans are plentiful and warm. People will have a higher need for jeans than a bikini that might show up in a box in the middle of winter. Also, the boxes would be expensive to make and maintain. We would have to ask to secure locations and people might even steal out of them. The boxes could be used as trash cans if someone didn't know nor care about our cause.
This week we are trying to find ways to build these boxes and where we can put them. We have considered asking our local churches if we can put them there for collection. We think that this will help the cause. We have considered changing our type of clothing and maybe doing a big event instead of boxes all together. This will be easier to plan and we don't have to really physically make anything. This is only an idea though.
Hello. My name is Chris. During my time doing this 20Time Project, I want to make a difference on my community. My group and I are donating clothes to the Hope Center here in Madison County, Illinois. We will be setting out boxes to collect clothing and other items for the people that need it most. If we were to donate clothes to a big corporation like Goodwill, it would be distributed throughout the country. We wanted to help the immediate area around our school. We chose to be in a group because we work well together and we are the only boys in our class. We have high expectations for this project over the next few months. I hope that we can help people without clothes and warmth warm up.
