Hello my dudes, I am back this week for my final blog post that is a normal post. My group and I have been overly busy in recent weeks and we have not been able to talk about our project until today. We have decided that the best way for our project to be successful is going to be an ask at the presentation. We know that this method is very risky but with all of our social lives being filled with multiple extra curricular events occurring daily, it is almost impossible to find a time where everyone can get together and accomplish something. Our group also has started talking about how we will start finding time every week to meet using our phones, which we think will help us accomplish more on our projects. I hope to inform you on our future progress soon!

Hello everybody, I am back for another update of my group’s progress this week. We realized this week that we only have five weeks left to work on our project. That made us nervous but it was also helpful because it gave us the needed motivation we needed to get something done with our project. We also met with our teacher to discuss where we are with our project. While we do not have much, we know where we want to go with the project and how we want to accomplish this. My group and I really like the idea of having an ask at the final presentation but we also know that the idea could be very risky because we are relying on one night to account for all our donations. We also could set up various events. We are undecided and hope to have our decisions made by the end of next week. I hope to post again soon!
Hello my dudes, I am back again this week to inform you on my group’s progress for the week. We were not able to meet this week because we were very busy in class working on our class work. I think our most important thing to focus on is to get our project off and going. We have been brainstorming different places to set up and we are leaning towards setting up to collect outside the Wildey theater. We were able to find a guy we could contact but we have currently reached out to him yet. It is hard to find a good place to collect from because we are all always busy. It also is a problem that no one in our group has a drivers license to get anywhere. I hope to update you on our progress soon!
Hello everybody, I am back again this week to let you know how the project is moving along. We have not been able to accomplish much this week as all of our class time has been spent working on non-project class work. Last week, we were able to present our elevator pitches to our class. I think that went really well and we were able to inform our class on what our plans for the project are. This week, our teacher gave us a quick lesson on how to get word out of our project on social media platforms. My group isn’t for sure if that is the path we want to take to get the word out however. We may let people know on the social media accounts that we already have, or could possibly make a private page just for our group. I hope to let you all know what is going on next week!
Hello my dudes. I am back for the new year to fill you in on how my project is going along. Last semester, our group decided on what we would be doing for our project and where we could contact and set up places to get our goal accomplished. For our project, we will be trying to collect jeans through drives and donations. We decided to just try for jeans because jeans aren’t as plentiful and people can grow out of them very easy. While we were able to get our project’s plans made out, we were not able to get our project going or reach out to anyone. My new year’s resolution for our project, is to get more organized and motivated with our project so we are actually able to make a difference in the community. I think if we organize our time more effectively and make an effort to get together throughout the week, we could get something accomplished. We hope to be able to soon reach out to our contacts that we want to work with to help make a difference with our project. We also need to contact one of our local hope centers or a similar organization that we would be giving the jeans to after we collect them. While it is hard to manage time when all of us in the group have numerous extra-curricular activities that we must attend, we must be motivated to find time and work for this project. This is an exciting time for our project and I hope to inform you on our progress soon!
Hello my dudes. I am back for another blog to inform you on the progress my group and I have made on our project. This week has been a productive week for us as a group. We were able to decide on a place where we would set up outside to attempt to collect donations for jeans. We also found a contact for the Wildey Theatre that we will contact to find out if we can sit outside the theatre before movies. Today in class, our teacher was supposed to tell us how to develop an elevator pitch but unfortunately, he was not here today. I think our goal for the rest of the semester will need to be to reach our contact and try to set up a date when our group can meet and try to get donations. I think project is start to make some progress and I am looking forward to trying to make a difference!
What is good everyone? Thanks for tuning back for a weekly update from your boy Andrew. This week, my group and I made the realization that we needed to start making efforts to meet outside of class at least once a week. To do this, we will have to just plan accordingly and set up some sort of group chat where we can all actively chat for an hour or so to talk about our project and discuss different things. In terms of how our project, we haven’t changed anything from the last time I updated you. In the coming week, we will most likely start making calls and talking to different people about events that we could work with to advertise for donations to help our project. Moving forward, we need to be able to pick up the pace and work harder on our project, if we want this project to be a success. I will update you next week on the progress we make!
Hello my followers, it is your boy Andrew here. My group has changed how we are going to collection donations in the past two weeks. Last week, we decided that we might be more successful in getting donations if we stand outside different events and let people know prior to the event that we would be collecting donations. We also decided that rather than to just ask for clothes, we are specifically asking for jeans, because we thought that a lot of people might be in need of jeans as they are not a common item people have plenty of. I think these ideas could be a lot easier on my group as we all have extracurricular activities going on in our life. I think moving forward, we will have to start making calls to different organizations and people so we can find events to get involved with. I hope we can make a difference!
What’s good everybody? It’s your boy Andrew here to inform you on my group’s progress. Not much has changed recently as my group and I have not been able to recently meet. Our goal is to be able to get our donation boxes built as soon as possible. It may be hard to manage our group as we all live very busy social lives. It also may be hard to find places to set up our donation boxes. It could also be challenging to find people to donate. To be honest, I cannot see many people donating just be my group putting up flyers. I think everyone in my group will have to reach out to those we know to get donations. However, I think we could get a great deal of donations just by asking for them. I think our project can still be very successful if we work hard and I will inform you on our progress in my next entry!Hi, my name is Andrew. For my 20Time project, my group and I have decided to help out the local Madison County area by asking for donations to give to the Hope Center. We were motivated to do this as it was a fairly simple idea that would provide a lot of help to our local communities. Honestly, our group choose each other because we were the only boys in our class but also because we all get along and thought we could come up with a really good project that will help out the world in some way. To make a project successful, we will set up wooden crates around Bethalto and ask people to donate items into these crates. Some fears I have is that we might not receive a lot of donations or some of our items that sit in the crates would be stolen. While there might not be many solutions to get items stolen, one way my group could help get donations is by reaching out to family and friends to help donation items for us. I think that if we can work hard enough, we can receive enough donations to make a difference in our area. I can't wait to see how our project progresses!
